Tamar Springer
is a licensed clinical social worker, living and working in Los
Angeles. She graduated from University of California at Los Angeles's
School of Social Welfare in 1991, and since that time has been steadily
working in the social services arena and in private clinical practice,
offering counseling and mediation. Ms. Springer worked as a child
custody mediator for the Los Angeles County Family Court Services,
working with parents and children of all ages in developing acceptable
custody/visitation plans for all involved.
Ms. Springer
worked as a clinical social worker and Program Director for Jewish
Family Service Agency of Los Angeles. During this period Ms. Springer
provided counseling to individuals and groups, conducted a weekly
support group for Holocaust survivors, and was a Program Director
for an educational/activity program serving 600 elderly clients
in the Los Angeles area.
Ms. Springer
has been working for the City of West Hollywood as a Social Services
Program Specialist for the past 5 ½ years, supervising social service
agencies serving West Hollywood community members, working with
community groups, coordinating special events and programs for the
various constituency in West Hollywood. Ms. Springer was a field
instructor for the California State Long Beach Graduate School of
Social Work. Ms. Springer works with numerous populations including
seniors, children and families, people living with disabilities,
gay and lesbian individuals and the Russian community.
In addition
to the experience referenced, Ms. Springer holds a private clinical
practice in Brentwood, California. Ms. Springer offers marriage
counseling, individual and couples therapy and mediation.
