I. Why Participate in a Discussion?
  1. We're right on your computer so you don't have to waste time or $ traveling!
  2. We don't have a set time to participate, so you can do so when it's convenient for you!
  3. You can ask those really stupid questions and your peers won't know it's you!
  4. You don't have to stand in line or have your calls go unanswered just to have a Legal Elite answer your question!
  5. Such a bargain!! For FREE, review the Legal Elites answers to your questions and others!
  6. We don't serve rubber chicken for lunch!
  7. You don't have to worry about dressing to impressing (or even just dressing) to attend!

**Besides, where else can you get (FREE!) direct interaction with all the leading attorneys in your field, at your convenience w/o leaving your office AND lawyers...you get Cal. participatory MCLE credit!**
II. What Is an E-mail Discussion?
Think of it as a seminar on a cutting edge topic given by one of the best lawyers in that field, except:
(i) all means of presenting information, asking and responding to questions are via E-mail, and
(ii) you can review the information presented and ask your questions anytime during the Discussion Week that is convenient for you.
III. How Do I Participate?
A. BEFORE THE DISCUSSION WEEK:
  1. Go to the Subscribe page and subscribe to 1 or more Discussion Groups that interest you.

By subscribing, each month you'll automatically receive one of the Legal Elite's practice pointers & be able to ask your questions on the topic.

  2. To see who the Legal Elites are for a certain practice area, go to Meet the Elite page. To find out more about a Legal Elite, click on their name to review their resume. (If you don't see the name of a lawyer you think should be a Legal Elite candidate, please E-mail their name to elites@legalelite.com.)

  3. To see what some of the discussion topics will be for the quarter, go to the Discussion Schedule page. (If you don't see a topic that you would like to be discussed, please E-mail the desired topic to info@legalelite.com.)

B. DURING THE DISCUSSION WEEK:

Beginning and Ending Dates:
A Discussion Week begins on Friday and ends the following Friday.

What Your Receive:
If you subscribe to a certain Discussion Group, you'll automatically receive an E-mail containing any one of the following bits of information:
(i) the Legal Elite's practice pointers;
(ii) your questions, and the questions asked by others;
(iii) the Legal Elite's answers to the questions; and
(iv) the Legal Elite's proposed forms and/or clauses.

When You Receive the Email with Info.:
(i) On Friday - the 1st day of the discussion
:
the "Discussion Kicker" (a short informative article, outline format, on the topic that "kicks-off" the discussion) is emailed to you.

(ii) On Wednesday:
a list of some of the questions asked as of that point are emailed to you.
(iii) On Friday - the last day:
a list of all the questions and the Legal Elite's answers are emailed to you.

Asking a Question:
(i) Go for it…anytime Friday through Thursday E-mail your questions about the topic to the Legal Elite.

(ii) To E-mail your questions, just reply to the E-mail we send you during the Discussion Week.

(iii) Don't be bashful to ask your question…names aren't included when we E-mail to participants the questions asked along with the Legal Elite's answers to them.

(iv) Since the Legal Elite only has a limited time to answer questions, not all questions will be answered.

(v) You don't have to ask a question in order to receive the E-mails containing other participants' questions and the Legal Elite's answers to them.

C. END OF AND AFTER THE DISCUSSION WEEK

EVALUATION:
Since our goal is to make your life easier and give you what you want, you'll have a chance to fill out an evaluation for the discussion that's E-mailed to you after the Discussion.
