1. You or Your Client's Program Reveals Allegations Against an Entertainer.

You or your client wants to air a syndicated television program about recent allegations of criminal conduct by a popular entertainer.

2. The story is based on one confidential source.

3. Teaser Ads & Lead-Ins Are Used.

You or your client wants to start running teaser ads and lead-ins stating "Cops Think Harvey Did It and Are Looking For Tape".

4. Program Shows Videos & Interviews to Support the Allegations

The proposed program segment states that the police are looking for a home videotape which was stolen from the entertainer’s home and purportedly shows the entertainer and others engaging in illegal acts. The program will also contain various individuals being interviewed and asked for their opinion as to whether the entertainer is or could be guilty of the alleged conduct.

  • What if the source was promised "confidentiality", can the identity of the source be forced to be disclosed?
